My rendition of the end of Chapter Thirty-Five, 'Beyond the Veil'.

"The second jet of light hit him squarely in the chest ... It seemed to take Sirius an age to fall: his body curved in a graceful arc as he sank backwards through the ragged veil hanging from the arch." -- Order of the Pheonix, Ch. 35, pg 710 in the British edition.

I jacked the pose from a Sailor Moon manga. I'm not too happy with the way the colour turned out, nor am I too happy with the 'graceful arc' bit because he doesn't look arced enough. But there's nothing I can do about the line art now. I don't really want to draw the whole damn thing over again. But I might just give the colouring another try.

mm.. too red for my taste, my view of the scene was more of a dull blue. then again, the red conveys the ... ... i forgot the word. goddamn. i'm such an idiot.

I though Sirius' death wasn't as much of a shock as I thought the death would be. Order of the Phoenix was good, but I kept picking it up again without realising I had finished it, hehe.

Anywho, I like the way you brought Anime into Harry P like that, I've never really thought of it in that way before. I think the colours are good too, I wouldn't be that bothered about them if I were you.

Huzzah for jacking poses! I think this is fantastic... and as for the coloring, I really like it. It's strong and it conveys the emotion you're trying to get across. I really wouldn't change anything with it.

The split screen/manga style is excellent. Good work. Aww

wow! that's beautiful......I love the red, it really blares out and shows the violence and extreme feeling in the picture. Crying I miss Sirius

*cries* I picked such a lame scene to draw for the contest, but I don't think I could of stood drawing something in the Department of Mysteries, I think I would've lost it. *blinks back tears furiously**swalows hard and looks extremly sad.*
